faith lift fridays ~ psalms 84 … valley of weeping

Friday, January 11th, 2008

I wrote this post the other evening, and it was sort of sandwiched between posts… but it has been on my mind so I wanted to share it today for faith lift friday’s post.

Psalms 84:4-6
How happy are those who can live in your house,

always singing your praises.
Happy are those who are strong in the Lord,
who set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
When they walk through the Valley of Weeping,
it will become a place of refreshing springs,
where pools of blessing collect after the rains!

To put your strength in God brings immeasurable joy and blessings. While we think we know what we need, God knows how to bless our socks off! When we are walking through the valley the important part is to remember that we shouldn’t set up camp there! Just keep moving and get out of the valley!

Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord!

Praise God in his heavenly dwelling;
praise him in his mighty heaven.
Praise him for his mighty works;
praise his unequaled greatness.
Praise him with a blast of the trumpet;
praise him with the lyre and harp!
Praise him with the tambourine and dancing;
praise him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Praise him with a clash of cymbals;
praise him with loud clanging cymbals.
Let everything that lives sing praises to the Lord!
Praise the Lord!
ps. 150

There are a lot of reasons to praise God.  I really love to read the Psalms.  I did the Beth Moore bible study about David who authored the Psalms and found it to be so interesting as all her studies have been.  I like the way she leads you to the answer without actually giving you the answer.
