I was tagged by KC…

So I took care of rule #1 already and I guess the picture takes care of rule #2.. Now to try to think of 7 random facts about myself that I haven’t already blogged about…doubtful!

1. I like coke.  Real coke.  No diet stuff eva!
2. I could crunch sonic ice all day long.
3. I like to make my bed in the morning.
4. In spite of my tall stature, I enjoy a good pair of heels… even if they do make me 6’5″.
5. My Dad and I used to play Mario every night until past bedtime.  I got really good at winning and getting the princess.  Bailey tries to get me to play his PSP and get to that level for him but I refuse.  Not because I don’t enjoy a good game of Mario,  but because if I start playing I might get hooked and I don’t have time for anything else!
6. I buy cases of styrofoam cups at sam’s club. It is the hugest box ever and takes up a lot of space in my pantry.  I like the cups best so I sacrifice the space.  Not very environmentally friendly.
7. To make up for #6 I carry those black bags into walmart for groceries.  The checkers actually act irritated about it half the time and don’t like using them because they don’t fit well on their little turn bag holder thingies.  I use them anyway. Check out these Callaway irons….

I’m thinking about this for Izzy…

Whew, that’s a lot of stuff for one post huh? We’ve had a busy day ending with a birthday party. I’m posting this all late Sunday night… but tomorrow is Amanda’s 18th birthday! I can hardly believe that I am the mother of an eighteen year old! It really seriously seems like yesterday that she was a little baby, then a little girl… then a pre-teen… you get the picture. It really goes fast. If you have a little one and you think it doesn’t go fast, let me tell you here and now it does! You will blink and be singing happy birthday to your eighteen year old child.

Amanda has been a relatively easy child to raise. She has a very sweet spirit and is quiet in nature. She is an incredibly hard worker in school and has made us so proud so many times… getting the golden falcon for having all “A’s” throughout junior high… being in the State and National Honor Societies… Having the highest gpa… making over 30 points in a single basketball game and winning MVP of the tournament… so many things she has done in her life to make us proud. She has a silly sense of humor that you only see if you know her well enough for her to show it to you.

Last but not least… menu time!

Monday is Amanda’s actual birthday, but she’s going out to eat dinner with Lorenzo and seeing Mama Mia… so we’ll just have a normal meal here. Most likely quesadillas. With grilled chicken and guacamole.

Tuesday grilled burgers and broccoli cauliflower salad

Wednesday we’ll have spaghetti & garlic bread.

Thursday grilled chicken and baked potatoes…

Friday Matt has requested gyros. yuck. but okay.

OH. One more thing. Guess what I got today?

7 things about my kids:

1. Amanda has a 4.0. She is not any smarter than the others, she just has really good study skills and works hard in school. Grades are a priority with her and she will use an average of fifty index cards per test she is preparing for.
2. Bailey was named after mine and matt’s family. His first name is John after Matt, his dad and his dad. Bailey was my maiden name.
3. Emelia has a really strong personality. Probably the strongest of all four.
4. Isabelle loved to dance before her near drowning accident. If Sesame Street was on and had a song playing she was dancing. Matt used to turn up the music and they would shake their booties.
5. Amanda turns 18 this month. I am having trouble believing that!
6. Bailey is very tech-savvy. He can do almost anything with all his computers and game systems. He’s my go to guy .
7. Emelia loves mashed potatoes more than any food in the world and when she is at Nini’s she requests them for breakfast.
