Bailey graduated.

I have so many feelings looking at those two words.  I’m proud of who he is and has become, sad and nostalgic about who he was and has been and excited because the future is so bright for him.  He is just the greatest guy ever.  I’m not just saying that because I’m his mom either, he really is great.

eight years.

We hit the eight year mark since the near drowning… Again mixed feelings.  First I feel just exhausted to think about all we have all been through and then I feel triumphant about the strength we’ve gained and how well everyone is and has been through the years.  Thankful that we turned to God who has been our rock.  Grateful to that small group of family and friends who have stayed close in spite of new challenges and lifestyle.  Amazed at the strength and resilience of Isabelle!  She went through this surgery and then back to school in an incredible way… and had a wonderful last couple of months in the third grade.

wedding plans.

I need to get on this now.  There are many things crossed off the wedding plan list like wedding dress, bridesmaids dresses, tuxes, invitations, save the dates, engagement pictures, registry, but so many other things to plan and lists to make.

I’ve made three trips across town in the last week to 1)order 2)pickup 3) return Bailey’s prom tux.  I also made three trips to order a cha-cha corsage for his prom date…  The prom was last night (Saturday)… They broke up Friday night.  Ya.  I’m totally serious.  So, all those trips and all that $$$ for no prom.  The girl went to another school so he wouldn’t just go without her…  Oh well.  On the bright side Matt and I had a nice Saturday morning out to get corsage and breakfast, and I did enjoy the trip to the tux place with Bailey and then today with Matt.  Bailey wore the tux to the final performance of Macbeth last night.

Bailey and I also went to see Fiddler on the Roof at the Civic Center yesterday afternoon.  It was a great show (very long!) but we enjoyed it a lot.

Wedding plans are still ongoing.  The engagement pics are taken…

The bridesmaid dresses are ordered, the tuxes have been chosen, the wedding dress is IN and tucked away… the invitations are in… I guess that’s about it so far.

This is going to be a crazy busy week!  We are going to Stillwater for the special olympics and we’re staying overnight!  Should be fun 🙂
