Yesterday was Saturday to me all day. So today seems like another Saturday! We got up and had healthy oatmeal. I convinced Matt to go with me to walk at the park which was nice. It was a beautiful day! Came home and fed and bathed Iz. Fixed veggie burgers for lunch and baked a pumpkin pie. It was so good! I had to get a few groceries. Dad came down to see the end of the OU/OSU game. OU beat them 27-0. Amanda went to the game and said it was really fun. Matt was cheering for OSU, but I wanted OU to win for Amanda. She said it’s a happier place on campus when they win 🙂 … I watched Click tonight on tv. It’s kind of a depressing and thought provoking movie… I am the worst blogger ever lately. I am happy to say that I have wrapped lots of packages and placed them under izzy’s walker… thinking about throwing tinsel on top and calling it Christmas. I went to Bloglines and cleared out all posts and am starting with a clean slate. My goal is to keep up!!!

It’s 9:39 p.m.  The corn casserole and red velvet cupcakes (second batch) are in the oven.  Spinach dip is in the fridge.  It’s been a long and busy day that started after 7 a.m. … I decided to go to Walmart early for my cooking list of ingredients to avoid crowds.  Crowded stores really don’t bother me normally … unless I have a list.  When I have a long list of things to buy it makes it hard to stop to check my list if people are pushing me along 🙂 …  I’m going to have to look for some fat burners

Amanda came home last night so I brought the kids chickfila for breakfast.  We all jumped in and got the house cleaned up before heading to see New Moon.  I had a few reservations about taking Isabelle to see the movie.  The first was of course the content, having read New Moon I knew it was about vampires and werewolves, but also knew it was pretty mild.  The next was sitting up on the front row with her stroller.  We were happy to find out there was an elevator that took us to a higher seat level in the theater.  I took Isabelle’s food with me and fed her during the movie.  I was really glad I did, the movie was over two hours long!   Overall I think it was a perfect movie afternoon… Iz dozed a little and seemed happy to be with the group.

Amanda’s boyfriend (Lorenzo) had a birthday Monday while they were still at school so she planned to cook him a special dinner today.  She made a roast with carrots and potatoes in the crock pot and a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting (shaped like a heart).   I made our meatless burgers for dinner and salad.  No roast for us 🙂 … Matt tried to convince Amanda to take Lorenzo a half of a heart cake.  No such luck.

After another quick run to Walmart and getting izzy fed and ready for bed I knew it was time to get my cooking done.  We are heading to Tulsa in the morning and there really isn’t time to get much done except load the car and get everyone out the door.

I’m hoping to go hit some black friday sales Friday early.  My main objective is to find 3 netbooks at a really good price.   Friday evening we are scheduled to have Thanksgiving dinner at mom and dad’s house.  My brother Mike and I have our traditional Thanksgiving trade planned.  I make extra spinach dip for him (really for Terri) and he brings me a pecan pie.  He’s the best!

I haven’t been writing on the blog much but a lot has been going on at school, at home, etc.  Izzy’s classroom is moving which is a good thing.  I helped Michele get the last of the last boxes and mr. fish.  I got slimed in the process. lol.

We went with our church group to Dallas Saturday… left at 6:00 a.m. and returned right before midnight!  It was exhausting but fun!  Mom, Terri, and Melody came with me!  We literally shopped til we dropped.  I was determined to only buy Christmas gifts.  The only store that was tempting was J Crew. I had to just walk away!  I got some things for Amanda (she mostly wants clothes).

I think I’m rambling so I’ll stop here 🙂

Me and mom did the “black friday” shopping thing. It was actually more productive than I had imagined or anticipated. We went to Kohls first for some reason… she got lots of presents there. Me, not so much. I got a couple of little things. We stopped at Sams to see if they had any good things at six a.m. Not so much. But got some great things for amanda (can’t say what because she reads this 🙂 … ). Stopped at Office depot to see if they had the present I planned for Emelia and they had one that had not been claimed. They gave out six tickets and one was unclaimed! I stood and waited with mom until 8. I was excited to get it. Got another one for Bailey somewhere else and not such a great deal but if you average the two it works out pretty well. I got some things for Matt and kept the barcode scanner busy. LOL … I’m actually glad black friday is behind me again.

am iz2

Izzy is really happy to have Amanda here for the weekend.  The three of us had fun playing with Iz this morning!  Lots of happy smiles!  Izzy is doing great at school!  She is learning her spelling words so fast!  She is a really smart girl.  I’m sad that Melanie, Izzy’s teacher, is having surgery on her shoulder again.  Melanie is like sunshine in a person… and that sunshine has been pretty cloudy lately because she is in so much pain.  Her shoulder really needs a touch from God and a prayer for a successful procedure on Monday.  We need the sunshine back at school. (Miss YOU Melanie!).  In the meantime, Michele is holding things down and being a really good school mom for Iz.  We have an appointment for new AFO’s this Wednesday.  Casting is fun. Casting is fun… trying to convince myself 🙂 …

em twins

Here is Emelia aka baby follower in the church nursery with twins Makenna and Jasmine.  They are so cute!

ba tur

At FLO Tuesday night there were so many single mothers and widows who came to get their turkeys and other food items for thanksgiving!  My sweet Bailey was there helping hand out the turkeys and carried them to the cars.  They may need to find apartments for rent/ I think it had an impact on him to see so many people so thankful for the food and help.  He came home and mentioned that he wanted to donate some of his own Christmas gift money to help others.   I asked why he wanted to and he said that he had enough and there were so many people who need things.  Made my mother heart proud!  He didn’t really want me to mention that to anyone, but I know you’ll keep it to yourself.

Life is busy… as usual.

We had a nice weekend.  Amanda came home Saturday and spent the day learning to make cinnamon rolls (from the master – nini).  She came home with three big pans of cinnamon rolls.  Just what we need.  🙂  She took some back to school with her.  They also made a chocolate cake.  Yikes!  I’m have been really watching my points so will-power was a must this weekend!  The kids enjoyed playing bball with Matt Saturday afternoon.  Me and Matt went for a long walk Saturday morning.  We had dinner at Goporum Saturday evening.  It was pretty good, hot but good. fulfillment house.

Sunday was mostly church … and basketball playing.  I made bacon cheese burgers for lunch.  Meatless.  Morningstar prime grillers and morningstar (fake) bacon on the one point thin whole wheat buns (love those).

I have been drinking a lot more water, mostly with crystal light packets (lemonade, rasberry lemonade, and wild strawberry) because I really don’t like water.  I made a new rule for myself to only have water with meals.  It’s not that bad really.  Then I get one coke a day… I save it for after dinner, something to look forward to!

Tori ( died this weekend.  She had a near drowning accident four years ago… She had the same birthday as me and was only 19 when she passed.  Very sad.  I’m praying for her family, I can’t imagine the loss they feel right now.

We have  a meeting in the morning with Camilla and the equipment guy to look over bath chair and car seat options.  Hoping that goes well.  I can’t say enough how much I appreciate the team at school.  I really couldn’t do it without them… they are great.  Melanie sent home izzy’s sight words today to work on and said that the OT Barbara wants to be a back up to feed iz at school.   God has really blessed us with them!

Amanda spent the day at Izzy’s school Wednesday observing Camilla and Barbara for one of her classes.  They have put a new piece of playground equipment on the dreamcatcher playground called sway fun.  Here is Izzy with Amanda, Camilla and Michele on the sway fun!  (and some school friends). The playground is the coolest place to be 🙂 … I love that there are toys on the playground suitable for Izzy. I am doing a post for home insurance quotes.
