2008
Thursday, January 1st, 2009It’s a great first day of the first of the year! I got to sleep until almost 10 a.m., which after getting home after 2 a.m. that wasn’t a ton of sleep. Matt and I made a big pot of soup (he helped!). Me and Isabelle are enjoying the day and I’m thinking about getting all the tubs down from the attic to remove all the Christmas stuff.
I did this last year, posted a sentence from each month and then a pic from each month. I didn’t post the first sentence of every month because I wanted to have a sentence that was actually about something. But I did post the first sentence of the first blog post of the month that wasn’t a paid post or something.
Kelli says to post the first sentence of your first blogpost for each month and you can add a favorite picture if you would like. Here are mine:
January…
How did I spend my New Year’s? Well I tivo’d Australian biggest loser marathon and spent the day cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and watching the show. It has been a nice quiet day!
(this is the girls in front of some of the limbs from the ice storm!)
February…
What a day… busy busy! It started with a call from a business about three blocks from our home saying our dogs (2 large outdoor) were there!
(Here’s Bailey on his birthday! We went to Cheesecake Factory)
March…
To my parents!

Happy 49th Anniversary!!!
I love you.
April…
I’m playing with my template… Well I did this morning a bit. It is so much harder than the blogger template!
(Matt’s aunt Jane Ellen and Ron on the evening of their 25th Anniversary at the Waterford.)
May…
Whew… what a night. I took Emelia to her honor choir concert at her school. I heard a noise that sounded like heavy rain or maybe … hail.
(bailey enjoying the trampoline!)
June…
So yesterday was the funeral I mentioned. Matt took off work to go to the funeral. He got to know Louis while we were dating and then in the early years of our marriage. He was instrumental in Matt’s baptism, and Matt really thought a lot of him.

(We had a fun family father’s day party!)
July…
Yesterday was a productive day beginning to end. Have you ever noticed that some days are just like that? You get so much done and are on top of the world, while other days aren’t so much.
(Izzy on our way out of church)
August…
I found a couple of kodak photo cd’s while looking for something else this afternoon. They were both from spring 2004. Right before Izzy’s accident.

Izzy enjoying Emelia!
September…
My first thought this morning… headache! Ouch. The weather is weird today, that may be the culprit… but seriously. Ouch.
My silly pedicure.
October…
Humpday again. Funny how humpday doesn’t carry as much weight when you aren’t in school and you aren’t eleven years old and you aren’t longing for Saturday so you can sleep until your eyes open… or until your mom insists you get up and dust the furniture.
(izzy at the corn maze school field trip)
November…
We got the new AFO’s yesterday. Izzy is not thrilled about them. At all. I am glad we got the swash and had a week to see that she is comfortable in it before adding the new foot splints.
(leaving matt’s ordination ceremony)
December…
I had a busy day yesterday getting ready for FLO and trying to make some dents in holiday decorating… I had 15 more bookmarks to get made and gift bags to assemble and chocolate to buy for the bags etc. I am happy to say I got it all done!

(the kid’s Christmas picture)
Well, that took forever but was fun to look through the last year! One more reason to love and appreciate having a blog! If you want to do a review you can sign mr. linky at Kelli’s blog.
