the horse has a name~
“PINKY”

1. Where did you meet your spouse?
I met Matt at Camp Rock Creek in Norman, OK on July 4, 1985. I went with my mom for a picnic and my aunt was there to help too. My aunt lived in the same town Matt lived in, about an hour away from me. Anyway, my cousin Mickey came too and brought Matt who had just that day broken up with a girlfriend of about two years.
2. What is your favorite personality trait about him?
He is so honest! He just always tells the truth. It is a good quality!
3. How old were you when you met your spouse?
I was 15 years old! I turned 16 August 9th (the month after we met)… he was 18!
4. How old were you when you got married?
I was 20.
5. What is your favorite way to spend time together? (Easy ladies, this is a Christian blog! LOL!)
Honestly we just like to talk and hang out… His favorite way to spend time together might be a LITTLE different than my way, but it’s close

6. How did your spouse propose to you?
He just asked. He was in college while we were dating, he worked for a horse trainer one Summer between semesters and saved enough money to buy me an engagement ring. I think I made him get on one knee… and he asked my daddy’s permission.
7. Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We didn’t really have much of a “honeymoon.” We had decided to buy a house and we put all our money collectively into getting it ready to move into. We had to have the kitchen remodeled, and new cabinets… We spent the night at a honeymoon suite in a hotel in the city and then went home and started setting up house :). I would love to go on some kind of “honeymoon” for real someday.

Finish this sentence: In 5 years I expect to be… five years older. five years wiser.

What a great verse, a great reminder… It says to me He is always there. Always.

Bailey had a micro sd card in his Nintendo DS Lite… he says I lost it. Maybe I did. I think I used it in my camera with a converter and then replaced it with my memory card and it fell into the couch never to be found again. They are pretty small. But, they work with a lot of things like cell phones, and digital cameras. I guess I better find it… or maybe order another. They are pretty inexpensive.

Well… he’s mine! The owner came and “found” him yesterday! He was trying to find a new home for him so he is ours now! We heart him already.
Happy Thursday!

So many people have boats, they take them to the lake summer after summer! It’s a family thing! Lots of families go boating together. I am planning to go boating with some friends sometime soon as well. One thing that is really troubling to me is the amount of people I see drinking out on the lake while they drive a boat! Boating Operating Under the Influence is illegal. I know in Arizona it is a Class one misdemeanor, same as driving a car under the influence. Please remember this summer to not drink and drive on the road or in the water and to be watchful for those who think they are invincible.

First food stuff… the bean burritos on my MPM were delish! I was actually dreading them, and didn’t think I would like them but was pleasantly surprised as was everyone else! They will definitely be made again and again! Tonight didn’t work out like I planned. I ended up being gone so I didn’t get the taco chicken in the crock pot early enough… I made quesadillas instead. I cooked sliced onions, had fajita chicken, black beans, cheese and sour cream and salsa for dipping. They were so good. A great thing about quesadillas is that you can make them to order… like Amanda and Lorenzo were chicken & cheese only. Matt was everything! I was cheese… Even Bailey can eat them! Emelia was gone to VBS with Nini so she missed out. Anyway, two thumbs up for both recipes. Matt actually requested that I make a batch of the black bean burritos to freeze for snacking or quick meals.
Sunday I took the girls in my teen class for breakfast. They learned the books of the NT song and I promised them a reward. We had a good time. These girls (most of them…) are not from Christian families. They are brought to church and they appreciate the attention and want to learn so badly. I heart them. Here’s a few pics from our outing!

Guess what showed up at my house this weekend? Well, not really my house…. but my yard. Well, not really my YARD, but the outer area of our yard that Matt’s goats are on. Here’s a hint…

So a lady who helps clean up at the church had this cool thing called a “SHARK.” I want one!!!
We worked on reorganizing and painting Bailey’s room all day yesterday. What a job! His room is a little smaller and I thought it would be much easier, that’s what I get for thinking! It was tough! But it looks so good now! I just keep going in there to look at it. I haven’t taken pics yet, but when I do I’ll post them. Bailey is such a sweet kid. I heart him so much.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) will be another busy blog free day. Izzy has therapy (hi Camilla!) in the morning, then I have to bring her home, feed her lunch, and then head to Edmond to finalize some CAD’s at the office. I have a batch to finish up right now and should be doing them rather than typing this post, but it’s now or never :).
One more thing, I posted this pic on Izzy’s blog… but it’s so cute I’m posting it here too. Nini bought this dress for Izzy to wear for the fourth. She’s so cute! Today after her bath I was brushing her hair and her bangs can touch her legs. It’s crazy how long they are! I mentioned too that I want to donate 10″ of her hair to locks of love. Amanda doesn’t want me to cut it, but it will grow back and trust me … she has enough hair that it will still be long.
Have a great Wednesday!

Last year Amanda was Tinkerbell… again! I think that is her favorite costume so far. Izzy was the most adorable little Minnie Mouse you’ve ever seen. I like dressing the four of them up in a theme, like all Disney or all something that goes together. One year they were all black eyed peas. I painted one eye black and put a big P on their shirts. They were cute!
