It’s been a busy beginning of the week! Monday we took Izzy to Bear… and ran by Jason’s Deli to pick up some broccoli soup for Emelia (& Izzy). I got a sandwich and fixed a salad to have for dinner. I love that place btw.

I stayed up way too late last night working on CAD’s. As a result I am having trouble staying awake. Seriously. I tried to sneak off to bed an hour ago when I took Izzy to bed, but Matt came and found me and so I got up. I ran by to pick up another batch of CAD’s to work on… while I was out I dropped by Steinmart and Tuesday Morning. Found a really cute comforter set for Amanda… I came home and worked for a while and realized they gave me a duplicate batch of CAD’s. So not only did I waste my time driving 30 miles to get them… at 12 mpg I wasted a lot of money too! Oh well.

Tomorrow Izzy has school/therapy in the morning, then I’m doing Melody’s hair. VBS starts tomorrow night. The theme is High School Musical. It’s called vacation Bible schoolsical. Instead of centers, it’s like school… homeroom (bible lesson), lunchroom (snack), music class, art class etc… fun huh? Thursday night after vbs they have reserved a pool for a few hours, and Friday night they are having a frog/turtle race! It’s going to be awesome! I signed up to help with crafts.

I haven’t mentioned the teen girl bible class I’ve been teaching lately huh? Well, it’s going great! I heart those girls. We always have such a good class and I learn a lot from teaching them! They have learned the books of the NT in the last couple of weeks so next Sunday I’m taking them out to breakfast during class as their reward. Should be fun! Sunday night was praise & worship at church. The pastor suggested everyone come to the front for prayer time. I was praying quietly and felt hands around me. The girls from my class had come over and were praying with me. They are so sweet.

It’s that time again… time to think about feeding the family for another week! I went grocery shopping today even though I really wanted to be napping with Matt. I took Emelia to a friend’s house and was pretty close to the store… and with gas prices felt like I should go ahead and get it done.

So… here’s what I’m thinking:

Monday I am going to cook some small red beans during the day, I have to take Isabelle to Bear so we’ll be gone most of the day. Matt’s been wanting beans for a few days so I aim to please . We’ll have some fresh yellow squash from daddy’s garden and some salad.

Tuesday I’ll make some chili, use the leftover beans. I bought some chili cheese fritos which I heart with chili. (cheese too!)

Wednesday we’ll grill up some franks, and finish off that chili on top! Served with some grilled yellow squash and salad.

Thursday I’m making this yummy quiche. I haven’t made it in a long time and it’s yummy. It makes enough to freeze one quiche for another day. Usually it’s so good we just save it for the next night but we’ll see!

I imagine we’ll eat something like pizza or gyros carry out on Friday. Unless we have leftovers… either way the cook gets a break!

Amanda is sitting in the chair, eating popcorn chicken… just home from work getting ready to go to the gym to work out with Lorenzo. Bailey is in his room working on his computer. Emelia is sitting in the chair watching Noggin with Iz, she just finished swimming and is going to Frontier City (amusement park) with her friend tonight. Don’t you just love a good family vacation? There are so many things to do in Orlando! Things like going to Disneyworld, or Disneyland… even the San Diego zoo would make a wonderful family vacation! When we were in Orlando, Florida, we had each day planned out. Actually a week wasn’t long enough to see everything we wanted to see and do everything we wanted to do, but we planned a schedule that packed in as much as possible. On Thursday we had planned to spent the first half of the day at Epcot. I noticed pretty quickly that around noon it would rain and then usually stop pretty quickly. We headed to Epcot and it was sprinkling rain, but we assumed it would stop by the time we arrived. We were wrong. If you have been to any of the Disney parks you know that it is a pretty good hike to get to the front gates from the parking lot. Even if you are parking in special parking it is still so far. I don’t mind walking, unless it comes a torrential downpour like it did that day. We were literally drenched. I mean soaked to the bone! Poor Izzy, I tried to keep my umbrella directly over her but the wind blew rain all over her. It wasn’t cold, but wet! We got to the front gates and paid a ridiculous amount of money for rain parkas and then magically the ran stopped! We spent our time at Epcot feeling a little miserable, being wet isn’t much fun. We always tried to enjoy our time regardless of problems and this day was no exception, but I would have preferred a dry day! If you’re looking for online travel guides, click on the link.
