zzzzz’s

I’m not a light sleeper. At all! Matt is a light sleeper which can be a problem. If someone accidentally wakes him up he has a hard time getting back to sleep. I pretty much fall asleep when my head hits the pillow and stay that way until the last possible minute I have to get up. Getting a full night’s sleep is so important. I know it can really make a difference in Matt’s personality. He is much happier when he is well rested. I have heard about a white noise machine. I know that it helps Matt to sleep with the fan on for the noise mainly. I wonder if the white noise machine would help him? Static annoys me greatly, so I’m not sure I could handle it.  It might be worth a try though.

    I almost bought a white noise machine, but chickened out. Whoever designed our house needs a good thrashing…we have zoned air, seperate units for the upstairs and the downstairs (that’s a good thing), but they put both units right outside our bedroom window! Listening to them kick off and on all night drives me nuts. I begged an a/c guy to move them, but he looked at me like I was crazy. Then I thought about getting those noise blocking windows installed (not cheap, according to the guy at Lowe’s). So then I thought about getting the white noise machine. I did research on which one was best, etc., etc, but didn’t follow thru and buy one. Now that summer is here a little early, though, I may have to reconsider. Those a/c’s are starting to grate on my nerves again. If I decide to get one, I’ll let you know how it does. If YOU decide to get one, please let me know how you both like it!

    My sis in law has used one of those before, or what she calls a sleep machine….she loved hers!

    Since my kids were little, I put box fans in the hallway outside their bedroom doors. It helped minimize noise in the house and lulled them to sleep. Now they all like to sleep with a fan on. I sleep with a fan on, too.
