menu… because it’s Monday!

Apr-21-2008 By mylifeasannie

I’m still doing really well on the “diet.”  I can actually tell by my clothes now that I have lost weight.  When you are over six feet tall it takes more than five pounds to show … which is an advantage in some regards I guess.  I wore a suit to church yesterday I bought for Easter Sunday.  I actually bought two outfits, one that was really too tight… being optimistic and then one that was more comfortable.  I wore the comfortable one.  But yesterday was able to wear the one that was too tight and it wasn’t.   I always come to church after class with Iz.  I walked in to sit with Matt and Amanda was sitting with Lorenzo, she called me over to tell me I looked nice.  Then Matt told me I looked like a million bucks.  He doesn’t always notice my clothing, so it was a nice compliment.  We had a laugh driving home when he asked how much weight I had lost, he went on to tell me my >>>rear end<<< looked smaller and said I must have lost it all there!  I LOL’d.   Hopefully it will keep coming off and I’ll be ready for Summer!

We drove to Harrah for gyros after church.  I always take all the meat off mine except for one little piece and Matt piles it all on his.  I think of Jack Sprat when this happens :)…  For dinner I threw in some baked potatoes while I went to church and then came home and made everyone else burgers.  I love baked potatoes!  Especially the yukon gold potatoes, they are so buttery.

Tonight I plan to make Amanda’s favorite, fettuccine alfredo.    Not exactly on my diet, but it’s yummy so I’ll just have a little.

Tuesday we’ll have chicken spaghetti in the crockpot with garlic bread, salad and veggies.

Wednesday … subs

Thursday we’ll have tacos…

and Friday we’ll most likely order pizza in.

Sounds like a plan huh?  Have a great Monday!

TriVita’s Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid was developed for maximum absorption and goes directly into your bloodstream. It starts to work right away, helping to:

  • Promote energy, stamina, and improved mood
  • Keep your memory sharp
  • Provide focus to help you concentrate and stay on task
  • Reduce the risk of age-related brain and heart diseases, including Alzheimer’s

Our original patented, B vitamin complex was formulated for maximum absorption – and maximum effect. To ensure this, we use the highest quality ingredients and commission third-party laboratories to test and certify our tablets.

THE TRIVITA SUBLINGUAL DIFFERENCE

“Sublingual” means “under the tongue.” You simply place a TriVita Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid tablet under your tongue and allow it to dissolve completely. TriVita’s original patented Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid was specially formulated to speed these essential B vitamins directly into your bloodstream!

Regular oral B-12 tablets have to take a long trip through your complex digestive system before being absorbed by your body. And, your ability to absorb B vitamins from food and regular oral pills decreases as you age. Get your sublingual B12 here.

With the TriVita original patented formula, you don’t have to worry about your B-12 going through a digestive system obstacle course – or the pain and expense of a B-12 injection. These essential nutrients go directly into your bloodstream, where they start working right away!

fettucine

Apr-21-2008 By mylifeasannie

This is how I make fettucine alfredo…

I take 1 stick of butter and melt, adding pressed garlic, artichoke hearts, mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes.

I add heavy cream and parm cheese to mixture.

Let the cheese melt and I serve it over whole wheat linguine.

Yum.

lifelock

Apr-21-2008 By mylifeasannie

Have you seen those commercials for lifelock? You know, the one
where the guy has his social security number plastered on a truck for the world to see. Do you ever wonder how they can keep your information safe enough to reveal your social security number to anyone and everyone? Here’s how they do it:

First, they ask the credit bureaus to set free fraud alerts on your behalf. Usually, this is done through our automated systems and the alerts are set within an hour. From time to time there may be a hitch and we have to do the first one manually, usually because they have a different address on file for you. If this happens, we’ll tell you right away and do what needs to be done to get the alerts set. (In case you’re wondering, we don’t charge anything more for this and our Total Service Guarantee is still in effect from day one.)

Second, unless your circumstances change and you tell them not to, every 90 days or so they ask the credit bureaus to do it again. You can do this for free if you’d prefer, but we make sure it gets done and that it gets done right. That’s where the oil change analogy we were talking about kicks in.

Third, they request that your name be removed from pre-approved credit card and junk mail lists and we keep making the requests as they expire. Statistics show that this is one of the many ways that thieves hijack identities. Plus, all that mail is just so irritating. Many members say that this alone is worth the price. If you are a do-it-yourselfer, you can do this for free, but why not let us do it for you?

Fourth, they order your free credit reports on your behalf from the major credit bureaus and they are sent directly to you. They do this every year.

Fifth, hassling with lost or stolen wallets is no longer a problem with WalletLock™. If ever your wallet goes missing, just give them a call - anytime, anywhere - and a WalletLock specialist will help you contact each credit card, bank or document issuing company, cancel your affected accounts and complete the paperwork and steps necessary to replace your lost documents*, including your credit/debit cards, driver’s license, social security card, insurance cards, checkbook - even travelers checks - at no additional cost.

Last, but certainly not least: If your Identity is stolen while you are a member of LifeLock, they are going to do whatever it takes to recover your good name. If you need lawyers, they are going to hire the best they can find. If you need investigators, accountants, case managers, whatever, they’re yours. If you lose money as a result of the theft, they are going to give it back to you.
