shopping and lunch…

Amanda and I determined last night the dress she planned to wear to prom would not work. The main reason being she cannot sit in it. It is extremely fitted! They have reservations to eat before the prom and there is no way she can a) ride in a car and b) eat sitting down! I decided to go out and look for a replacement today. I found two and bought them both, hoping one will be just right.

I also went to a State Honor Society luncheon today with Amanda.

  1. No matter how cute you look, you still need to be able to sit:) I’m keeping my fingers crossed that one of the new dresses will work and that she likes them. I hope she has a blast!!

Gosh yes, sitting in the car on the way there and back is fairly important :) Sorry the one she had picked out won’t work, but hope she loves one of the two you got today. What a great mom :)

That’s one hard thing about finding a Prom dress! A lot of mine were so tight on the arms that it was hard to raise them and dance with my date, too! I hope you can find the perfect one that will work out!!

I love the look of fitted dresses, but YES! She has to sit down! Another issue with fitted dresses, even if there’s room to sit in them, is that they get all wrinkled or creased across the front when you DO sit down!

I hope one of the dresses you bought for her will be just right! Can’t wait for pictures! :)

It makes me think of the I Love Lucy episode where Lucy squeezes into a slinky, fitted dress and totally CAN NOT sit down, or eat, or breathe… LOL!
