menu

Matt and I made a HUGE pot of stew before church yesterday morning.  We would have had it for dinner, but instead we went with a group from church to “taco bell.”  I hadn’t been inside a taco bell in years.   It wasn’t bad.  I’m not a big taco bell fan (like amanda).

Tonight we’ll have the soup again with whole wheat crackers.  I had been making corn bread with the stew, but it’s just too many points so I decided to hold off on that for a while.

With the kids home all week it changes the way we look at meals…

Tuesday we’ll have burgers, with pretzels and salad.

Wednesday I’ll make a pot of small red beans with ham.  (and maybe some cornbread)…

Thursday we’ll probably have something leftover… or carryout… or both.

Friday I’ll make the chicken strips I made the other night that Bailey LOVED! and some veggies on the side… with whole wheat rolls and salad.

That’s it.  My week.  Subject to change, and it probably will.

Visit Laura, Org. Junkie… to see more menus.  I found tons of recipes while perusing last weeks menus.

banking online?

Mar-17-2008 By mylifeasannie

Do you do your banking online? I find it easier to keep track of accounts and balances by checking often online rather than waiting for monthly statements. Even low interest rate credit cards are easier to manage online. I log in to the bank pretty regularly and check my balance and then am able to see what I need to see to balance out. My credit card is on file with our local blockbuster, and when the kids do not return a movie on time they will charge my card for the entire movie. I find it to be really helpful to check the balance online. Maybe I’m just a visual person?

lifelock

Experian has sued a company selling theft protection services… they are alleging that it engages in fraud by skirting consumer protection laws. The company, lifelock, charges about $10.00 a month to make their customer’s credit information more secure by placing what is known as a “initial fraud alert” in files that are maintained by Experian and it’s competitors TransUnion and Equifax. These temporary reports require that the employees of the credit bureaus take more steps to verify a creditor’s credentials before giving out information that is in the records. This is costing Experian millions of dollars per year just processing all the bogus fraud alerts. I guess the question is, “Are credit bureas looking out for you?”

Do you do anything special for st. patrick’s day?

Like make corned beef and cabbage?

Or maybe just wear green?

Are you looking for free ads on the web? I found a cool new free ad on the internet that allows you to advertise, or place classifieds on the web.  It’s the first of it’s kind.  Maybe you have had a hard time finding a place online to put the ads you want on the internet?  It’s hard to find just the right spot to assure your ads are being seen.  Whynotad.com is a place you can go to check out job opportunities, see real estate for sale, find out about free holiday opportunities, the possibilities are endless.  What would you paste on an ad given this huge opportunity?  I saw the coolest Samsung Versace phone while looking around on whynotad.com!  As people place ads, advertising, classifieds, articles, events, news, holiday offers, travel vouchers, and photos, you’ll be able to discover new and exciting stuff (like a versace phone for instance).  They have a really easy to use book like scroll function that makes it easy to browse all the interesting ads and classifieds.  You pick how you want your ad to be categorized.  The way the site is set up is cool because it makes your ad show up as more relevant when people are looking for information on different search engines (like google, yahoo, or msn).  This and FREE!  Check it out.
