hotels in barcelona
Are you going to visit the beautiful Barcelona? Barcelona is positioned on the north eastern coast of the Iberian Peninsula and the shores of the Mediterranean. Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain in both size and in population. It is the capital of Catalonia. After a makeover lasting more than two decades, Barcelona has transformed itself into one of the most dynamic and stylish cities in the world. Summer is serious party time, but year-round the city sizzles – it’s always on the biting edge of architecture, food, fashion, style, music and good times. The buildings, especially the work of the eccentric genius Gaudí, will blow you away. The art, with significant collections by Picasso and Miró, will make you clammy all over. the people, with their exuberance, their creative spirit, their persistent egalitarianism, will fascinate you. A growing amount of visitors made Barcelona hotels to have an average year-round occupancy of 85% – the highest in Europe as a consequence rates have shot up recently. There are three names given to Hotels in Barcelona accommodation in Barcelona they are Hotel, Hostal and Pension. A hostal is similar to a guest house or hotel, but a hostel is a youth hostel. Pensiones, usually cheaper and often family-run, are star-rate. You might want to visit Gran Teatre del Liceu or Casa Batllo. I would love to see Montjuic Park and Castle and the Santa Maria del Pi. I would love to stay in the Spanish hotels that are near these locations.

In my opinion, no trip around Europe is complete without a stop in Barcelona. This cosmopolitan city has it all: arts, culture, haute cuisine, beaches, shopping, and nature… what more could you want? Barcelona feels more safe and secure than many other cities of its size, it is exceptionally clean, and locals welcome tourists with open arms. With beautiful weather year round and enough interesting things to keep me occupied for three months, Barcelona is a MUST-SEE city!
Barcelona is a fabulous city, filled with amazing Gaudy architecture, great restaurants, a pretty harbor and good shopping. I could spend days just wandering around in the old quarters with their narrow streets, browsing in shops and stopping off for a coffee or some tapas. It is one of my favorite cities and I have been lucky enough to visit twice now, first in Oct 2003 and then again in Jan 2007. Even after two visits I still have plenty more to see – stayed tuned for visit number three!
