know & tell friday

Friday, February 15th, 2008

Question 1
Did you eat candy this Valentine’s Day? I munched on a few m&m’s that we used to decorate the heart shaped brownies. I guess that’s about it…

Question 2
What is something you do to relax? Just sit and read things on the computer, read blogs or email… just zone out.
Question 3
(From Poole’s book) What is the best approach for resolving conflict? I don’t enjoy conflict. I usually begin by praying about it, and then try to either stay away from the conflict or listen to God about how to handle it.
Question 4
(Poole’s book again) How would you define “freedom”? (this could probably be a bonus question) That is a hard question! YES! It should be a bonus 🙂 There are so many types of freedom… but I think as an American I am very free! Spiritually speaking, freedom is the knowledge that I am forgiven and the freedom that gives me from worry… knowing God is in control.

Question 5
(Poole’s book) On a scale of 1-10, how happy do you usually feel? Explain. I am usually a 7-8. I don’t dip too low often or go to a 10 often either… I am pretty even!
Bonus Questions
Question 6
If you could choose one “SIN” that you would never have to struggle with for the rest of your life what would it be? Control. I fall into the “I want to control everything…” pattern often and it is a great opposition to letting God control my life. I know many wouldn’t categorize control as a sin, but not fully submitting to God’s plan and faithfully trusting that plan is (IMO).
Question 7
What is one thing that breaks your heart? Remembering details of Izzy’s accident breaks my heart. I really try not to do that!

Friday, February 15th, 2008

I try to be conscious of my posture. I am so tall I have to really think about standing up straight and tall. I want my back to stay very straight. If you are having issues with posture you can get a posture corrector. This comfortable and supportive brace will help correct your posture while still offering support to reduce back strain. It helps keep you upright and standing tall by gently pulling, aligning and holding your shoulders back. This helps to minimize stooping and slouching.

bing bong tables…

Friday, February 15th, 2008

Well you learn something new everyday… I had no idea there was a sport called bing bong which requires beer pong tables. Apparently you throw the ping pong balls into cups of beer? Sounds like a good thing to do with beer. I’d much rather throw balls into it than drink the nasty stuff! Has anyone else ever heard of playing bing bong? Maybe I live a sheltered life.
