When I first met Christ
It seemed as though life was rather like a bike ride,
But it was a tandem bike,
And I noticed that Christ
Was in the back helping me pedal.
I don’t know just when it was that
He suggested we change places,
But life has not been the same since.
When I had control, I knew the way,
It was rather boring, but predictable…
It was the shortest distance between two points.
But when He took the lead,
He knew delightful long cuts,
Up mountains, and through rocky places, at breakneck speeds,
It was all I could do to hang on!
Even though it looked like madness,
He said, “Pedal”
I worried and was anxious and asked, “Where are you taking me?”
He laughed and didn’t answer,
And I started to learn to trust.
I forgot my boring life
And entered into the adventure.
And when I’d say, “I’m scared,
“He’d lean back and touch my hand.
He took me to people with gifts that I needed.
Gifts of healing, acceptance, and joy.
He said, “Give the gifts away;
They’re extra baggage, too much weight.”
So I did, I gave them to the people we met,
And I found that in giving I received, And still our burden was light.
I did not trust Him, at first, In control of my life.
I thought He’d wreck it;
But He knows bike secrets,
Knows how to make it bend to take sharp corners,
Knows how to jump to clear high rocks,
Knows how to fly to shorten scary passages.
And I am learning to shut up
and pedal in the strangest places,
And I’m beginning to enjoy the view
And the cool breeze on my face
With my delightful constant companion, Jesus Christ.
And when I’m sure I just can’t do anymore,
He just smiles and says…
“Pedal.”

Question 1
Which is worse? Being gossiped about or being lied to? being gossiped about for sure… not that I enjoy being lied to or anything, but it seems the lesser of two evils.
Question 2
I see that a lot of ladies out there in blogville are “Starbucks” gals… What is your favorite “Starbucks” drink? I always order hot chocolate (when I take amanda for her caramel frap double blah blah blah)
Question 3
Name an embarrassing moment (Make it good). When amanda was in about 2nd or 3rd grade, she had been up all night (we had been up all night) because there was a bug floating around the family… I slept in not expecting her to go to school being sick. When I got up around 9 am there was no Amanda. I had to call the school to ask if she was there. She had gotten herself up, gotten ready, and even packed her little lunchbox all by herself. Her determination was strong even when she was young and I guess it shouldn’t surprise me that she is top in her class…. but it was embarrassing as a mother to call school to see if her daughter was there. (and not sound very scared!

I figure that most of us ladies out there are bargain shoppers and that we find ways to save money, but what is one thing that you don’t mind spending your bucks on? I spend the most money on my hair probably… and food.

Tom Brady is known for being the quarterback for the NFL football team the New England Patriots. Brady is a huge part of New England Patriots history. Brady played college football for and graduated cum laude led the Wolverines to a from the University of Michigan. He was a backup his first two years, while his teammate and future NFL quarterback Brian Griesenational championship in 1997. When he enrolled at Michigan, Brady was seventh on the depth chart and had an intense struggle to get some playing time. At one point, Brady hired a sports psychologist to help him cope with frustration and anxiety and even considered transferring, frustrated by what seemed like a lack of opportunity. Brady battled for the first string quarterback position with Drew Henson and ultimately started every game in the 1998 and 1999 seasons under Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr. During his first full year as starter, he set Michigan records for most pass attempts (350) and completions in a season (214) in 1998. Brady capped that season off with a win over Brady was All-Big Ten (honorable mention) both seasons and team captain his senior year. The Wolverines won 20 of 25 games when he started and shared the Big Ten ConferenceArkansas in the Citrus Bowl. In the 1999 season, Brady led Michigan to an overtime win in the Orange Bowl over Alabama, throwing for 369 yards and four touchdowns.
